Enroll macOS devices and Deploy Senturo with Jamf Pro

Enroll your macOS Fleet and Deploy Senturo with Jamf Pro Integration

Follow these steps to enroll your macOS devices from Jamf Pro and deploy Senturo to your devices:

1. Connect your Jamf Pro instance to Senturo:

  • Create API roles and Clients
    • In Jamf Pro, click Settings in the sidebar.
    • In the System section, click API Roles and Clients.
    • Click the API Roles tab.
    • Click New.
    • Enter a display name for the API role.
    • In the API role privileges field, type the name of a privilege you want to assign, and then select it from the pop-up menu. 
    • The required privileges are in the screenshot below:
    • Click Save.
    • Click on the APl Clients tab at the top of the pane, then click New.
    • Enter a display name for the API client.
    • In the API Roles field, add the roles you created in the steps above. The client will have the cumulative privileges of all assigned roles.
    • Under Access Token Lifetime, enter the time in seconds that you want access tokens to be valid for.
    • Click Enable API Client to allow the client to be used to generate a client secret.
    • Then click on Save.
  • Enter your ClientID and clientSecret keys into Jamf Pro integration

    • Click on Generate client secret button, then click Create secret.
    • Copy both the Client Secret and Client ID, then paste on a notepad file.
    • Navigate to Integrations page on the Senturo dashboard.
    • Click the Connect button for Jamf.
    • Enter your Jamf Instance URL, then paste the Client ID and Client Secret.


    • Click on Sign In button. 
    • Once your Senturo account is integrated, select the features you wish to enable, then click Save.

2. Enroll your macOS fleet to your Senturo dashboard

  • Access Device Enrollment
    • On the Senturo dashboard, navigate to the Device Enrollment.

    • Click on Jamf.
    • Click on Sync Devices and wait for your devices to be imported from Jamf Pro.
    • Once the devices are imported, select the devices you wish to Enroll, then click on Enroll Selected button.
    • Navigate to Devices page to verify the Selected Devices have been enrolled.

3. Deploying Senturo for macOS with Jamf Pro

  • Download and deploy Senturo
    • Click on the Help icon (?) at the top-right hand corner and click on Download Apps
    • Click on the Desktop app for macOS without permission assistant option. This should download the Senturo installer.
    • In your Jamf Pro instance, navigate to Settings and search for Packages, then click on it.
    • Click on New.
    • Click on browse for a file and upload the installer downloaded in previous steps, then click on Save.
    • Navigate to Computers, click on Policies, then click on New.
    • Type a Display name, and select the triggers for the policy.
    • Click on Packages, then click on Configure.
    • Click on Add for the Senturo installer.
    • Under Scope, click on the Add button to select the groups and devices you want to deploy Senturo deployment policy, then click Save.
    • Once the deployment policy is saved, Senturo will be installed on target machines. You can click on Logs at the bottom of the page to review installation status.

Senturo will be silently installed on the selected after a few minutes. After successful installation, the devices will be activated on the Senturo dashboard.
