How to Senturo Lock a Device

If a device is lost, stolen, or otherwise needs to be secured, you can remotely lock it using either the individual device view or the main devices table. The Senturo Lock command prevents unauthorized access and protects data while the device is at risk, and works across ChromeOS, Windows, and macOS devices.

This article walks you through both methods for sending a Senturo Lock command: locking a single device from its details page, or locking one or more devices in bulk from the Devices table.


Lock from the Device Details Page

  1. Navigate to the Device
    • Click on the device you want to lock to open its detail view.
  2. Go to the Management Tab
    • Click on the Management tab at the top right.
  3. Send the Lock Command
    • In the Security Actions section, click the LOCK button next to Senturo Lock.

Lock from the Devices Table (Mass Action)

  1. Select the Device(s)
    • In the main Devices page, check the box next to the device(s) you want to lock.
  2. Open the Security Actions Menu
    • At the top, click on Security Actions.
  3. Choose Senturo Lock
    • From the dropdown, click on Senturo Lock.
